Moon Sighting for Ramadan 1432 (2011) Live Update

1st Ramadan 1432 (2011) will be on Tuesday 2nd of August 2011 (Ramadan Mubarak)

 Shafqat Ali reporting live for Dr. Shabbir Ahmad's Ramdaan 2011 Moon Sighting Updates.

5.50PM - The moon has not been sighted in Sydney and Brisbane. We'll keep you updated for other states accordingly.

6:05PM - The moon has not been sighted in Melbourne as well. We'll keep you updated for other states accordingly.

6:18PM - The moon has not been sighted in Canberra and Newcastle. We'll keep you updated for other states accordingly.

7:08PM - The moon has not been sighted in Adelaide. We'll keep you updated for other states accordingly.

8:03PM - The moon has  not been sighted in Darwan. We'll keep you updated for other states accordingly.

 IAWSS & its development of ROOTY HILL MOSQUE

The project to purchase the land at Rooty Hill NSW was initiated by a small group of Pakistani families in 1985-86. Progressively they went on to form the IAWSS - Islamic Association of Western Suburbs Sydney.
The Majority of Mosque construction and development has taken place since 2001
Today the Mosque has facilities for:

• 4000 people Capacity in total, with most construction taking place since 2001
• Largest and most modern facilities of its type in Australia
• Ladies section on second floor holds around 500 people
• Darss for children & adults with Islamic classes
• Rooms used for Islamic Events held regularly by all the Muslim community
  Hotel sized kitchen
• Office and Courtyard
• Library & Adminstration office

 The Mosque has now hosted:
-  4000 during Eid-ul-Fitr
-  4500 Muslims in Ijtema for 3 days in both 2005, 2007 & 2008
-  700 people stay overnight during Night of Shabeh Khadar in Ramadan
